Eliza Dushku: Faith and beyond

11/23/02 - Movies

As previously mentioned months ago, Taking on the Neighborhood doesn't seem to have changed much. It was supposed to be in production a long time ago (what else is new) but now seems to be sitting on the shelf. However, Eliza is starring in Wrong Turn, a horror film from 20th Century Fox. Yahoo! Movies details the production.

11/23/02 - Joss chat

Joss Whedon, the mastermind behind Buffy and Angel, held an AOL chat on November 10th. Faith was mentioned a couple of times, and it sounds like her return is going to be awesome.

AOL Host: Can you tell us anything about what Faith will be doing on the shows later in the season?
Joss Whedon: She will probably be looking really sexy and fighting people, based on her history. Apart from that, I ain't saying.
AOL Host: Do you know exactly when she will be coming back?
Joss Whedon: About the middle of the season on 'Angel.' She'll be returning [there] first, which is where we left her. Then she'll come to 'Buffy' for the end of the season.

9/2/02 - Buffy/Angel

Yes, Eliza and Faith are returning to Buffy and Angel and I cannot believe it. This is incredible! Next season looks great! If you aren't worried about SPOILERS from last season and a couple bits from the next check out the story here from Zap2It.

9/2/02 - City By The Sea

The date was pushed up for once (shocking isn't it?) to September 6, 2002. Hey that's this week! ;)

5/10/02 - Eliza interview

There's a good interview with Eliza here on TeenHollywood.com. She discusses everything from growing up, her movies, influences, and how she got into the biz.

5/10/02 - City By The Sea

Not a whole lot of new info on the movie, except that the release has been pushed back a week to September 13, 2002.

5/10/02 - The New Guy

Finally, after over a year of being pushed back, The New Guy comes out today starring DJ Qualls, Zooey Deschanel, Eliza Dushku, Eddie Griffin, Lyle Lovett, Ross Patterson, and Rachael E. Stevens. Go see it!

3/23/02 - Taking on the Neighborhood

Another movie??? It looks like it. Eliza is reportedly "in talks" for the role of Daria Scorza. Upcomingmovies.com gives the following plot summary: A young woman (Dushku) in New York City finds herself trapped between the cultures of the Irish and Latino communities, who accidentally starts a deadly gang war...

Sounds good to me. =)

2/22/02 - The New Guy

If you want to see another video clip of Eliza, go to the Simple Plan website. They are a band with a single from the movie. The video for the song features some of the cast, including Eliza.

2/22/02 - This movie of hers

Upcomingmovies.com reports that the title Mark of a Murderer may once again have been changed back to City by the Sea. Ugh. And oh yeah, the release date was kicked back again to September 6, 2002. What a surprise.

1/31/02 - Buffy the Vampire Slayer

E! Online recently sat down with Buffy Executive Producer Marti Noxon and one of the questions posed to her was the following:

"Speaking of Buffy expats, any plans for Seth Green or Eliza Dushku to come back?"

"Yeah, there's always talk about it. And when those people are available, we'd love to have them back. But they have not been available. Seth's all Greg the Bunny now--and many other things."

Still not looking so good.

1/31/02 - Mark of a Murderer

Upcomingmovies.com reports that City by the Sea has a new title - Mark of a Murderer

1/31/02 - True Lies 2

Not a whole lot of news on the movie, but still an interesting update from CountingDown.com

Arnold Schwarzenegger told Cindy Pearlman that a script for True Lies 2 was turned in last week:

"Jim Cameron finished the script a few months ago. But I'm not sure it will shoot this year. I'm going to go away for a long time to do Terminator, it's not my style to go away again so quickly and do another huge movie. I like to do one movie a year at the most. We'll shoot it next year. We have a good script. There does need to be some changes because it deals with some terrorists act of some sort. But it's pretty much done."

According to Cindy, Jamie Lee Curtis is expected to return.

12/29/01 - True Lies 2

I have recently heard of the sequel to True Lies, which has differing release dates depending on when production begins. I would think it would be sometime in 2003, but the project has been delayed several times already. Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jamie Lee Curtis, and Tom Arnold will all be in the sequel, but there is no word yet on Eliza, and whether or not she will reprise the role of Dana Tasker.
